A SOUTHERN CHRISTMAS: NASHVILLE & THE BILTMORE ESTATE
December 15–20th, 2020
Join us for a beautiful and fun time in the Music City, Nashville, TN, and then on to America’s largest home, The Biltmore Estate. This historic home, built by George Vanderbilt in 1895, will be decorated for Christmas with many trees, miles of garland and hundreds of poinsettias. Experience this magical time of year with these two amazing stops!
Day 1: Excitement builds as we journey to Nashville, TN for our 2-night stay at the fabulous Gaylord Opryland Resort. You’ll have time to explore the resort and enjoy all the Christmas decorations and take a few pictures as the evening is on your own.
Day 2: Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast, you’ll have time to use your ticket for the Delta River flatboat ride inside the Resort before we depart for a delightful lunch on the General Jackson Showboat. We’ll cruise on the Cumberland River and get a fabulous skyline view of Nashville. This afternoon, you can use your included ticket to visit the ICE! exhibit.
ICE!™ is an interactive walk-through holiday attraction kept at a chilly 9°F where you can explore a variety of holiday scenes and two-story ICE! slides - all made from 2 million pounds of ice. You’re provided with a cozy parka and gloves to keep you toasty as you meander through the ICE! exhibits. Be sure to bring your cameras. This evening we will enjoy a Country Christmas Dinner and Show!
Day 3: After a full breakfast and bags packed, we will make our way to tour the Country Music Hall of Fame, also known as the “Smithsonian of Country Music”. We will enjoy a self-guided tour and explore the best of Country Music, past and present. After this awesome tour, we will begin our journey to the magnificent Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. We will check-in at our hotel to freshen up before leaving for dinner at the Deerpark Restaurant on the grounds of the Biltmore. After dinner, we will go on a self-guided candlelight tour of the mansion with live holiday music, flickering candle lights, holiday lights, thousands of ornaments on magnificent Christmas trees, miles of garland, thousands of poinsettias, and beautiful wreaths. This is truly a magical evening at the Biltmore Estate. After this tour, we head back to our hotel for the night.
